Sometimes we all need extra support, whether it’s a crisis, challenges at home, or concerns around substance use. The organizations below are trusted resources that can help.

If you are experiencing family violence or abuse, feeling distressed, or having thoughts of suicide, please contact one of the resources below immediately. If this is an emergency, dial 911.

Crisis Services

Vancouver Crisis Centre

Operates two 24/7 crisis phone services and an online youth live chat website with trained volunteers providing support and referrals. The community education team also facilitates suicide prevention and stress management workshops.

Tri-City Transitions

Provides emergency shelter and social support for women and children fleeing family violence and abuse in the Tri-City communities.  They provide emergency shelters, 2nd stage housing, family court support, victims of crime support, counselling and groups for adults who have experienced abuse, children and youth who have witnessed abuse (CWWA), and parenting services.

Butterfly Support Network

Butterfly Support Network exists to provide compassionate support and a sense of community for those affected by infertility, pregnancy loss, and infant loss. We honour the babies gone too soon, hold hope for the children to come, and raise awareness through community events and fundraising for local and provincial support programs.
