Living HeartFULLY: Finding Your Way Through the Fertility Crossroads

Living HeartFULLY is a collection of compassionate spaces for women and assigned female at birth (AFAB) individuals navigating life after fertility loss, uncertainty, and unexpected endings. Created from both my professional work and my own experience of unexpected childlessness, these offerings support reflection, connection, and gentle ways of living FULLY in the “after.”

Why I Created Living HeartFULLY

Living HeartFULLY is both a professional offering and something deeply personal.

After years of navigating fertility challenges, multiple IVF rounds, and ultimately the decision to stop trying to conceive, I came to understand firsthand the grief and identity shift that can follow unexpected childlessness.

The grief felt like my heart shattered into a million pieces, and for a long time I couldn’t imagine how it could ever feel whole again.

What I experienced was not only the loss of a hoped-for child, but the loss of a future I had deeply imagined. In that space, I also discovered how isolating this experience can feel, especially when life seems to be moving forward differently for others.

Over time, through my own healing and the support of community, I began to gently reconnect with meaning, connection, and aliveness in a way I hadn’t expected.

It was through this process that the name Living HeartFULLY emerged - not as a return to who I was before, but as a discovery that it is possible to live with a heart that is both shaped by loss and still deeply full.

Living HeartFULLY was created from this lived experience alongside my work as a Registered Clinical Counsellor. To offer a space where grief is honoured, identity is explored with care, and life after loss is supported with compassion and understanding.
